Relationship Building 101 ~ Lesson 4
In examining your relationship with another person you began
by looking at what you have received from a particular person.
Next you took a look at the other side of the equation. What
have you given to another person?
If you take the efforts of others for granted, you live as if you
are "entitled" to such efforts.
If you resent when people do not fulfill your expectations, you
live as if you deserve whatever you want. As you reflect on your
relationships, one by one, you begin to see the reality of your life.
What is more appropriate - to go through life with the mission of
collecting what is owed you, or to go through life trying to repay
your debt to others?
Even if you think you know the answer, it is not the same as
discovering the answer.
Look again at the responses you made. If needed, you can find
Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 here. Be sure to make your responses
as specific as possible and then share them by clicking here.
